To implement and manage the Deposit Return System (DRS) in Portugal, under the volta brand, covering single-use beverage packaging under 3 litres, including plastic, metal and aluminium bottles and cans, contributing to a more efficient and sustainable complementary system for collection and recycling.

Portugal has joined the countries implementing Deposit Return Systems (DRS), with the launch of its own system in April 2026 under the volta brand, introducing a more efficient and sustainable model for the collection and recycling of single-use beverage packaging.
